BearKiller 9/29/04
It has been a
while. I have
been busy because of the new house, landscaping, etc. I have been playing
DoD on the LGSO server. I still visit NoS, GOB, Wka,
Patton’s web pages and IRC. I see some old players
of past clans now and then, but they are becoming farther
apart and fewer as time goes on.
I have joined the DoD clan, LGSO, at www.lgsocentral.net. They are a fun group
I need to get my butt
in gear and sell the server as it sits here on the
floor.

BearKiller 4/1/04
The
server was hit by a firewall flaw the toasted the OS.
With Patton's 3rd Army membership has split on the movement of
CoD and lack of server support, the
server was pulled down from the ISP instead of paying the ISP
$50 to move of the power and data cable to the second hard I
installed before shipping it last time. I have it
sitting here right now. Bane of Patton's 3rd Army is
working on getting the server into a co-location with a
business contact.
Not sure
of that success, but I am initiating the server exit
plan. I will create email to perform the initial contact
of member for resolution of the last formal business of
Strength and Honor, the sale of the server and dispersal of
funds.

BearKiller 2/14/04
Patton's
3rd Army membership has gotten tired of BF1942, plus the
problems of keeping such a large membership to field a 12
person team every week. Thus ending the season 4 for
BF, the BF9142 server is down
permanently. The Call of Duty server is running S/D of
same IP. Looks like Patton's will join TWL or CAL for
CoD.
Looks
like when Soldner, HL2, and Far Cry
comes out, we will take those games
for a spin on the server.

BearKiller 12/4/03
It has
been a while since my last update. Most FLD has gone
their own way. Fingerbang, GUNZ and I have joined Patton's 3rd| Army. We finished
season 2 on CAL with Patton's. We
have just started season 4 with CAL.
I pulled
down the server at the end of season 3 to replace a failed
processor. Patton's membership is funding the monthly
ISP fees. The S/H server is running 2 BF servers
on IP 38.113.32.156. A TS2 server is running on the same
IP.
Player
updates -
Redstone
was playing with a canuk clan and
got burned out. When he recovers, maybe he might want to
play with a fun clan :)
Perfect
Cell was play BF for fun and jumping on TS2, but he has not
been around in a long while.
Bosnian
Child was last seen when Pattons was
playing on an open pub and he and his bother was playing
BF. Cannot remember his bothers call sign and the BF tag
they were using.
Ledzill and GreeNo played with a top 10 BF clan after
FLD. GreeNo dropped out due to
the cut throat tactics and 4 per night scrims/matches, 7 days
a week requirement. GreeNo
stated Ledzill dropped out too after
moving and losing his net.
GreeNo joined wKa and was playing DC with wKa on their server. UPDATE: On wKa web page, http://www.wka-clan.com/ ,
irc #wkaclan, you will see that Ledzilla, Kotton, and Wascally Wabbit
has joined wKa.
From WW,
he heard Siu P was engaged and had
found life within his love and Christ. That was nearly a year
ago, about 2 mos before S/H moved
over to Global Ops.
N!Te is still around,
going to school mostly.
ski still post on the
nOs forums, though I have not seen
him playing on-line.
TACO can
still be seen posting on nOs and BF
forums.
Major

still playing CS. He joined a ":[GOB]: Grumpy Old Bastards". IP:
69.12.9.235:27015. He recruited Tax when he came back
from the dead and both can be found playing there.
Doc and
Daisy had a CS clan for a bit and they were playing on MG
severs till Ixian kept moving
providers/IP address and killed the following.
I met
Fitch, Cynergy, Doc, Daisy, Ixian, and Superfan at the pre-MG Lan center ring-out party. I was
cool to see everyone.
BearKiller can
always be found on MG forums, nOs forums, BG fourms (old
Goth clan), and Patton's forums,
irc #pattons3rdarmy. I play
BF1942 under "3rd|BearKiller" and can be found playing CS and
DoD for fun as well as new games
that are released.

BearKiller 5/11/03
I have
formally released all FLD members. With the loss of 2/3 of the
active membership, all are encouraged to continue on-line
adventures with other groups.

The status of the
server is currently unknown. I have funds in-place to
run the server through end of June 2003.
News -
4-14-03 BearKiller
We no
longer use GV. We now use TS2. This move is due to
driver problems with GV on new OS and hardware. TS2
gives us separate channels to speak with movement from
channels in a click and drop. Also, with 12 players,
squads can work in separate channel without stomping on other
squads, while squad leaders can squawk to all channels when
required.
